Be Bold, Get Zesty! Alexander Harik is the founder of Brooklyn-born Zesty Z, an emerging food brand making Mediterranean flavored popcorn and Za’atar condiments.
Zesty Z was the first brand to innovate with Za’atar, a famous Mediterranean thyme and herb seasoning. The company first launched their olive oil and Za’atar condiments in Whole Foods nationally in 2018. Global flavors are trending in the food industry and chefs, restaurants, foodies, and the media are all talking about Za'atar.
In October 2019, Zesty Z is launching it’s snack products - Mediterranean flavored popcorn. The flavors are Cheesy Feta, Savory Herbs, and Spicy. The popcorn captures the bold flavors of Greece, Lebanon, and Italy.
Zesty Z's products are available in 600+ locations across the country, including all Whole Foods Markets. Alexander has been featured by NPR's "How I Built This", CNN, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Epicurious, Fine Cooking, and Delish.
In 2016 Alexander left finance to launch Zesty Z with his mother Lorraine, aka "Zesty Mom". His personal ethos is "avoiding mediocrity". Alexander has vowed never to wear dress shoes again, loves basketball, reading history books, and laughing at food puns.
