Britta Mulderrig has over 10 years of experience in tech, sports and entertainment, and is currently the Head of Growth and Marketing for Pillar, a soon-to-launch personal finance app that helps people to manage and pay back their student loans faster. She joined Pillar as the fifth employee and is focused on all facets of marketing and new user acquisition.
Prior to Pillar, she spent four years at Uber helping to launch new markets, overseeing marketing initiatives and building brand reputation through local community engagement. Britta executed first-of-its-kind rideshare partnerships with underserved groups across the Northeast including with women’s groups, hospitals, employment agencies, disability groups, law enforcement, and diversity activist groups. She also created Uber’s first official college-focused marketing campaign, Uber Study Breaks, now used globally.
Britta is a big advocate for women in tech, and was also a Women of Uber Board Member where she created programming and events that aimed to bring more females into leadership positions and enable existing employees to network. She is also an advisor for the #BUILTBYGIRLS Wave program.
Prior to Uber Britta was a partnership marketing manager at Google working with brands including Vogue, Sony, and Mashable to create content for Google+ and YouTube, and started a sports-marketing agency in Minnesota after having worked for a few major-league teams and seeing a need for external creative agencies.
Britta lives in the Upper West Side with her pup Jasper. She loves being out on the water (weather permitting!), attending concerts (any other Grateful Dead fans out there?), watching the Rangers, thrifting and spending time with her family in Connecticut.
