Elana Tenenbaum is the Global Design Director of Knotel, a global Startup transforming the office market with its Agile HQ Platform. Elana's team is responsible for design and execution of custom spaces for established and growing brands around the world. Elana is also the founder Studio Bess, a New York based multi-dimensional design studio helping clients define their spatial vision and execute projects across hospitality, retail, and office environments.
Elana's prior experience includes Starbucks Concept Studio as a Senior Designer, researching new ways for the brand to evolve and where she helped establish the NYC Concept Design Studio for Starbucks. Elana has held roles with leading agencies including SHoP Architects and AvroKo where she worked on projects globally spanning Botswana Innovation Hub, frog design studio in Dumbo, and Intel's campus in Bangalore India.
Elana's passion for a holistic design approach grew with each project gaining a deeper understanding of the power to combine empathy, graphics, materials, and space. Elana believes the world is made up of small moments that are influenced by their environments and a holistic design approach is critical for a brand to create a deeper bond with their customer.
Elana graduated with a degree in Architecture from Syracuse University and currently resides with her husband in Brooklyn, New York.
