Haley Goldberg is a writer, editor, and content strategist dedicated to helping people take care of themselves. Her bylines include Fast Company, SELF, Glamour, the New York Post, the Los Angeles Times, and USA Today.
Currently: She’s a content strategist and part of the founding team at Shine. The award-winning self-care app sends a weekday motivational message, meditation, and an article to 4 million members across 189 countries—she oversees the strategy and execution of all editorial content.
In her two years at the company, she’s helped refine the brand’s empowering-but-not-fluffy voice, strengthen its intersectional approach to content, and brought the community’s voice and needs into the editorial process—creating what she calls “responsive content.” (Because if you don’t give something a quippy name in the startup world, did it even happen?)
Other highlights: She’s led viral self-care campaigns, worked with a psychologist to create the first-ever self-care quiz, and dove headfirst into the world of email newsletters, launching a weekly product called Shine Weekly.
Haley lives in Brooklyn and hails from Michigan (Go Blue!). She’s a #BuiltByGirls mentor, and in her free time you can find her walking her rescue pup in Prospect Park, browsing Greenlight Bookstore, taking a yoga class in an *attempt* to quiet her mind, or at Ample Hills sampling way too many flavors.
