Herry Pierre-Louis is a seasoned product manager who’s passionate about ensuring the products we all love to use are created with diverse perspectives. He’s currently on the product team at technology-focused health insurance company, Oscar Health, owning the digital onboarding experience for their members.
His path to product has been fairly non-traditional, as he started his career in Journalism, writing for a local Philadelphia-area music and pop culture magazine after graduating from Temple University. From there he transitioned into the tech scene working on Japanese e-commerce giant, Rakuten’s product team. Gradually, he moved up the ladder as a product lead at various ad-tech companies, including native-ad platform, Sharethrough, and WPP’s programmatic media arm, Xaxis. While he never received formal computer science training, Herry’s experience with interviewing has allowed him to excel in identifying user pain points and develop delightful user experiences through the products he’s helped build.
Herry is passionate about mentoring diverse candidates exploring or transitioning into careers in tech and he’s looking for more opportunities to do this more formally. He lives in Brooklyn and on his down time you can find him playing basketball or going for a run in Fort Greene Park while listening to one of his go-to podcasts (currently Techish pod).
