Sydney Henriques-Payne (she/her/hers) is an organizational strategist and human capital professional obsessed with refining companies’ vision and bringing ideas to life.
A creative non-fiction writer turned HR Business Partner and operations nerd, Sydney’s work cuts across her passions, focusing on helping individuals and organizations on strategic planning with an equity lens, product and service design and brand building. She founded Bridge & Ladder in 2014, a consulting company focused on strong strategy and storytelling.
Prior to launching Bridge & Ladder, Sydney leveraged her background in communications/marketing and organizational change management (OCM), to manage individual and organization-wide (re)brands and roll-outs, end-to-end. This includes past roles in external affairs and marketing, recruitment and selection and product, program and UX design. Most recently, she served as Chief of Staff at The Future Company, a start-up studio focused on social impact.
Sydney holds an MS from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English & Communications-Rhetoric with a Certificate in Community & Corporate Relations from the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time, Sydney is typically posted in a coffee shop, wandering through NYC’s museum exhibits, planning life event celebrations for friends (8 weddings/baby showers, and counting) or talking about multi-racial, multi-ethnic Afro-Latinx identity. A DC native, Sydney is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
